The Bump is a musician Based out of Sleepy Hollow / Tarrytown, NY in the beautiful hudson valley. Drawing from his love of Acoustic guitar and horror, he Invented "Horrorfolk." The musical inspiration comes from monsters, folklore, and horror figures of the past and present. his songs are filled with humanity and emotion and tell the tales of haunted places, characters, and experiences in new ways.
on The flip side is another musical hybrid that he calls “METALcoustic”: re-arranged and stripped down versions of favorite heavy metal favorites drawn from all varieties that range from Doom to british new wave to true norwegian black metal.
It’s not uncommon to sit in for a performance and hear a set that travels from a horrofolk tune about dracula, to a cover of townes van zandt, to an arranged version of “freezing Moon” by MAyhem. He takes us into the scary dark and back again, all the while having us smiling and tapping our feet.
